Pierre Micheletti, a doctor and graduate of the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Santé Publique, conducted his first experiments abroad in 1985. In 1987, he joined Médecins du Monde as Head of Mission in Guatemala. He then became the Program Director in 1996 and President from 2006-2009.

Since 2009, he has been teaching at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Grenoble, where he co-manages the Master’s in “Policies and Practices of International Organizations”. He also teaches at Grenoble School of Medicine, where he created and heads the diploma in “health-solidarity-vulnerability”.

In 2014, he joined the Executive Board of Action Contre la Faim and became the President in June 2019.

He has written numerous articles in the national press, in particular as a contributor for newspaper Monde Diplomatique.
