Since January 2018, I am involved in climate research modelling (tropical cyclones but also water resources, etc.) for the southwest Indian Ocean to build climate services for the various island nations. Our current project, funded by the Agence Française pour le Developpement (AFD), is named Building Resilience in the Indian Ocean (BRIO).
At the LACy laboratory, I studied rapid intensification processes in tropical cyclones to improve their intensity prediction. On operational perspectives, I contribute to the development of probabilistic tools for tropical cyclone prediction in the southwest Indian Ocean.
Former position : researcher at the Laboratoire de l’Atmosphère et des Cyclones (LACy) from 2009 to 2017.
