Prior to joining IDDRI in November 2011, Lucas Chancel worked as a consultant for The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI, New Delhi, India) and for the European Institute for Energy Research (EIFER, Karlsruhe, Germany). He was also a visiting researcher at the United Nations Habitat Program. At IDDRI, he works on the links between inequalities and household energy consumption and on green macroeconomic policies. Lucas Chancel holds an MSc in Sustainable Energy from Imperial College London, a BSc in Physics from Paris VI University and an MSc in Economics and Public Policy from Sciences Po Paris and Ecole Polytechnique.
