Senior economist on the economic and institutional aspects of the sustainable forest management in Africa, Jean Bakouma works on promoting deforestation-free supply chain and production, on the traceability, sustainable forest value chain assessment and development in Congo Basin, and on the development of natural rubber sustainability criteria and indicators in South-East Asia, setting up multi stakeholder platform regarding natural rubber.
He is also former Lecturer at the French National School of the Rural Engineering of Waters and forests in Nancy, and former consultant on behalf FAO, World Bank, ITTO. E.U. Finally, Jean Bakouma is part-time lecturer at the university Paris East Val-de-Marne in Maste2 “Biological Engineering for the environment”, and co-author in the French raw materials yearbook (Cyclops) since 2006, holder of a PhD in economics of the university of Nancy.
