Chloé Pinty studied urban planning. She first worked for the NGO Apoyo Urbano in Nicaragua on popular local commerce in the city of Granada. Then, she worked at the Institut des Métiers de la Ville de Madagascar (decentralized cooperation) on the governance in the Antananarivo agglomeration, and on urban renewal projects. In 2014, she joined AFD as a project manager at the Mexico agency, where she worked on urban services projects such as water, sanitation or energy. Since 2017, she has joined the Urban Development division as a project team leader.
She is in charge of urban projects, notably in Burkina Faso and Lebanon. In this context, she contributes to several transversal thematic, among which citizen participation in projects and, more recently, urban food supply.
