The aim of the conference is to explore in greater depth the relationship between the macroeconomic and transformational dimensions of policy coherence within the context of the SDGs and, in doing so, to highlight ways in which analytical perspectives and policy settings can be adapted to help reap the benefits of globalisation in line with the UN 2030 Agenda. The event will be structured into 3 sessions, considering respectively: How greater coherence in monetary, fiscal and structural policy can contribute to inclusive growth and sustainable development (Session 1); How trade, migration and sectoral policies can be articulated into a coherent approach to economic transformation (Session 2); the geopolitics of international cooperation and their implications for achieving the 2030 Agenda (Session 3).
