

Ruth Blackshaw is a Technical Officer in the New York Office of the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) where she is working primarily on SDGs, financing for sustainable development and UN reform. Ruth graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2012 with a BA in Geography where she focused on historical, cultural and political geography. Since graduating, she has spent two years working in the Strategic Policy Directions team of UNAIDS in Geneva and 5 months at the European Commission working on health and culture in the Development Cooperation Directorate-General. Ruth Blackshaw is a project manager of Global Colleagues, a global one-to-one partnership programme of poverty scholars from the Global North and South.
