Working in the field of Limnology since 1999, Obtained PhD in Biology from the University of Bergen Norway in 2009. Focus area on ecological effects of Cyanobacteria. Consultancy experience on water information systems and water quality monitoring. Currently a lecturer in Hydrobiology at Makerere University, Kampala – Uganda.

Lake Victoria is the largest lake in Africa and the source of the White Nile. This crucial ecosystem for the region is being plagued with frequent fish kills, oxygen depletion of deep waters and poor water quality, which is characterized by blooms of harmful algae and aquatic weeds.
