Renaud BETTIN is responsible for Climate Solidarity project partnerships for the NGO GERES – Group for the Environment, Renewable Energy and Solidarity. He discovered the association in the field in Ladakh, northern India, in 2008. He was initially responsible for the CO2Solidaire carbon offsetting program. He has built up the reputation of GERES and advocates its vision in terms of responsible carbon finance. He was aware of the fact that he was conducting extremely useful action for populations in developing countries and for the climate and became the spokesperson for Climate Solidarity, a principle combining the responsibility of the North with support for communities in the South. He regularly works with public institutions, companies and students. His fields of expertise range from climate change to the carbon economy, including international climate negotiations.
