James Elliott is an independent researcher focused on diabetes, global health and wound care. He studies diabetes self-management, education and support, including in Lebanon and Oman. He works with Médecins Sans Frontières, Canadian Association of Wound Care and the International Interprofessional Wound Care Course at the University of Toronto. James is a trustee of T1International, an NGO advocating for the rights of all people with type 1 diabetes to access insulin (#insulin4all), supplies and care. He lives with type 1 diabetes in Toronto Canada, the birthplace of insulin.
