Dougoukolo Alpha Oumar Ba Konaré is a doctor in clinical psychology, and a geopolitologist. He regularly intervenes on issues of security in the Sahel and the protection of civilians, based on his experience as an advocate. His research has been focused on the study of religion, intercultural psychology, identity issues among the Fulani, gender.
He has published numerous scientific and journalistic texts, as well as given lectures and these different themes. He recently published National Narratives of Mali: Fula Communities in Times of Crisis (Rowman & Littlefield, 2021), and La negociación de los roles de Género en conflictos from Mali: ¿cuál es el futuro para la participation de las mujeres en la política? (in Guerra y paz en África, Los Libros de la Catarata, 2020).
