Biography

Philosopher, Emeritus Professor at the University of Paris I-Panthéon-Sorbonne. After having studied the Enlightenment and the beginnings of economic theory (L’Invention de l’économie au XVIIIe, Paris, PUF, 1992), she works, since 1992, on environmental philosophy and ethics and political issues related to the environment (nature conservation, technological risks, environmental justice, political ecology and democracy). She has recently published (with Raphaël Larrère) Penser et agir avec la nature, une enquête philosophique, Paris, La Découverte, 2015 ; Les inégalités environnementales, Paris PUF, 2017 .
