Biography

Benjamin Denis works for AFD since 2012 as a renewable energy expert. He has been AFD task team leader for a number of innovative projects, including the first cane biofuel power plant in France, solar greenhouses and biomass energy on isolated grids. He is now in charge of derisking solutions for the energy transition in Africa.

He used to work for Coface, the French Export Credit Agency, supporting energy infrastructure in developing countries, and was posted in London and Kabul.

Benjamin studied in Sciences-Po, Paris, at the College of Europe, Bruges, and at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He teaches renewable energy finance and his work focuses on sustainable development.
