
A specialist in energy business strategy, Halid Alhassane has been working for NIGELEC since 1994. He was in charge of the operation and maintenance of electrical networks and project studies, where he participated in the development of several important projects.
He also worked at the African Solidarity Fund (FSA) as a financial analyst and then as Director of Operations. At this position, he supported the financing of several infrastructure projects in various African countries at the FSA.
Since his appointment as Chief Executive Officer, he has developed several strategies that have transformed NIGELEC into a profitable company with participative management and a vision that has given donors confidence. He has been able to prepare and implement several electrical infrastructure projects that have enabled NIGELEC to improve its key technical and financial ratios and to look to the future with greater confidence.
Alhassane studied Electrical Engineering at the Ecole Supérieure Interafricaine d’Electricité (Côte d’Ivoire), Business Strategy and Management at CEFEB (Marseille) and Economics and Energy Policy at Pierre Mendes France University.
