Along with a group of friends, Gilbert Cochet and Béatrice Kremer-Cochet founded the Forêts Sauvages association, of which they are President and Vice-president respectively. Both Associate Professors of the University, experts on the Scientific Council for Natural Heritage and, above all, natural scientists passionate about working in the field, they have been traveling the world together, monitoring the state of the natural environment for several decades. Affiliated to the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle, Gilbert Cochet is also an expert on the Council of Europe, and a scientific advisor for the film Les Saisons by Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud, as well as for the TV program Ushuaia Nature – Les géants du Far East by Nicolas Hulot.
