Dr Tassé Abye is a specialist in the field of social work and social development. For over 35 years, he has served on a leadership position in higher education and research institutions and as an international expert supporting the definition and implementation of reforms of public institutions in several countries in Africa (Cameroun, Ethiopia, Mauritania, United Comoros and presently in Republic of Congo).
Elected President of the International Association of Schools of Social Work from 2004 to 2008, he is the Global Coordinator on behalf of three international organisations (International association of Schools of Social Work, International Federation of Social Workers and International Council of Social Development) of the task force on elaboration and definition of the Global Agenda for Social Work and Social Development 2020-2030.
He is the recipient of the 2016 Katherine A. Kendal Award and 2018 the honorary Doctorate from the University VID, Oslo. Tassé obtained his PhD in Sociology from the School of Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences of Paris.
